Vintage silk obi ornamental handmade cushion - round
A small decorative cushion made of authentic silk obi. The edges are finished with hand sewn obijime- twisted cord used to decorate obi when worn with a kimono. The middle is decorated with an retro round brass button, secured on the back with a simple brass button in a gold color. The back is made of black silk obi, adorned with black floral and geometric patterns.
Size 26cm. Filled with a new fluffy polyester.
Depending on a cushion, obijime is either silk, or silk/cotton/rayon mix.
Available in 5 variations:
-metallic chrysanthemum flowers and paulownia leaves on a olive green and rose gold background; rope in cream and olive green.
-golden and white peacock feathers with a orange red accent; rope in cream.
-composition of orange arches and chrysanthemum flowers, paulownia leaves, an pine branches, on a rose gold background; rope is in a light green shade.
-floral composition in shades of orange, blue, and white, on a black background, with gold accents; rope in a matching shade of red.
-image of a Japanese crane, flowers, and a hand held drum, in beige and light gold shades, with red, black, and purple accents; rope in dark blue. This piece is a sample- the edges are a bit wonky, and the cushion is not filled as much as the others, hence the lower price.
Please note, these items are made of a vintage fabric. Small imperfections, such as a pulled thread, or slight discoloration of the fabric, might occur.
