Traditional Japanese hanhaba obi - set of 2 - fuchsia and burgundy hakata ori
A set of two similar obi, to wear matching outfits with your best friend, or as a cute mother - daughter outfits. Hanhaba obi is a more casual obi, originally half the width of a fukuro obi. Often worn with a casual summer yukata. Hakata ori refers to a traditional weaving technique, originating in Hakata city (now part of Fukuoka).
It is decorated with easily recognizable geometric pattern.
Both obi are decorated with the same fine pattern and vertical stripes. The lighter, fuchsia pink one, is adorned with pink and white decoration the burgundy one has burgundy and black patterns.
Please note, these are vintage items. Both obi are a bit crumpled and creased due to prolonged storage. Some of these creases might be removed by ironing on a low temperature.
There might be present some other minuscule imperfections, such as a spot of discoloration, a slightly pulled thread, etc. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a brand new and perfect item. Thank you for your understanding.
