Kokeshi dolls - miniature elegant couple

A couple of adorable wooden kokeshi- traditional Japanese dolls. These two are painted with lacquer to resemble traditional images of an emperor and an empress usually displayed during Hina Matsuri festival. They are seated on a simple black wooden base.
