When in May 1975 late queen Elisabeth II visited Japan for six days accompanied by her consort, the Japanese national TV station “NHK” produced this 8mm film to mark the historical event.
The first reigning British monarch to visit Japan the queen travelled with her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh. Her trip returned a visit Emperor Hirohito made to Britain in 1973.
Despite its age, the film is in surprisingly excellent conditions, without any visible scratches or stains. Never projected, opened only to take the photos and checked its conditions.
